Panera you get 5 stars because you are mommy and toddler friendly. I love your "You pick two combos" my favorite being the bacon turkey bravo with creamy tomato soup. My 2 year old loves the Mac and cheese that comes with an organic yogurt as an added bonus. This is a casual spot for a quick lunch- I love it!

Stopped in for lunch. It was good timing. Line was short and ordering was quick. Had the pick 2 special of tomato soup and half fontina grilled cheese. My all time favorite combo, especially since the weather is a bit cooler. Sandwich had a great flavor. Love Fontina cheese. Bread was thick, and toasted perfectly. The soup was very thick and creamy. Lots of flavor. Highly recommend this. I topped with their famous green iced tea.

Below average customer service. The bakery has good quality treats and pretty decent for breakfast, and the chai tea latte is really good but everything else kind of falls short. The soup is obviously pre-made elsewhere and is definitely over priced. To borrow Yelp's own words, "Meh. I've experienced better"

(If you'd like to know how I ended up here, you should read my previous review about the Starbucks across the street from this Panera) I've only set foot in a Panera thrice and they've all been good experiences. I was greeted by the manager and she was nice enough to help me break the $100 I had so I could get breakfast at the Starbucks. I bought a Cobblestone Roll(?)- 10/10 on the Scrumptiousness Scale. Can easily say I'll frequent this Panera for breakfast instead.

If you're in a rush to catch a movie but don't want to fill up on popcorn and other junk food at the theater (while wasting tons of money doing so), nor want to wait for your food while the restaurant and staff take their sweet time, I suggest coming here. I grabbed a grilled chicken salad, which was good and filling, and cost about $10, including a drink. Lucky for my friend, the female cashier took pity on him and gave him a free drink on her, I guess because of the fact he's a male, because he didn't purchase anything, while I did, but I didn't get the free drink, LOL! Guess I was of the wrong gender... They say they have free Wi-Fi, but neither I nor my friend could get reception on our phones. We were not about to go make a line to ask for the password though. The salad hit the spot and came with a piece of bread, it held me up until the next day and there were no wilted leaves or raw chicken pieces, thankfully. I think this is a great idea for people on the go. There were lots and lots of kids (pre-teens), so I guess this is where they go when they want to eat and cannot stretch their allowance too far.

This location is constantly running low on breakfast products! Only after arriving before 11 and waiting 15 minutes in line for service was I told that it's 4 minutes passed and we have no breakfast at this time! Horrible service I do not recommend this location!

I love the soup here. That's what brought me in the first time around. While I was waiting everyone around me was ordering Mac and cheese. I was like, what's poppin with this Mac and cheese and why haven't I tried it yet!?! Everyone seemed to love it. So the next day I came around again and ordered a different soup with the Mac and cheese and realized what I had been missing out on. That Mac and cheese was amazing. The managers were on point with their crew. She was asking them questions about the shelf life of some of the food that was out, making sure nothing was in the "danger zone". Parking is a mission, but that's nothing new.

If you plopped this Panera down elsewhere, no one would be the wiser. It is a typical Panera chain store. The location is large with lots of booths, but not much personality. There always seem to be enough seats even when it is busy! There are a couple tables outside. The food is decent for a light lunch. This may sound like a weird thing to say, but this location is oddly cold! I always put on my jacket when I am in here. Conveniently located in Sunset Place, Panera is a nice place to do homework or just relax for the afternoon. So, happy soup, sandwiches, and salad...and carbs (hello muffies! These things are super awesome because who actually likes all the muffin?)

The young male server was rude & impatient while taking my order. The only reason I gave this review 2 stars is because when I went back to the register to order a to-go item, the female cashier (Cristina I think), was warm, gracious and displayed excellent customer service skills. I explained how I was previously treated. She was profusely apologetic and called the manager over (not necessary), who was also was gracious and very pleasant. I will return again due to these 2 employees. The young, rude, male cashier, who's name begins with an "A", needs to take a course on customer service skills. I've been eating at Panera for years, this is the first negative experience I've had.

Panera, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! 1. You so many satiating soups for the vegetarian soul. 2. Your salads are works of art; fresh, fruity and colorful. 3. You have irresistibly delicious pastries and desserts. 4. Your employees were trained by Speedy Gonzalez. (Sometimes the buzzer goes off before I even sit down at a table.) Andale! Arriba! 5. You Pick Two is a mix & match made in Heaven. Please come to the Beach so we can truly be together!

I'm here a lot, and it's great. The workers are really nice, remember my name, the place is always kept clean. The minor fault I experience is they often forget to remove the onions from my sandwich when I ask for it. Definitely not a big deal to me. I just throw em out, but I know people have allergies and stuff.

I find that I have a harder time reviewing a place that I go to on a regular basis. Thanks to the law of averages going on an almost daily basis the good and bad extremes tend to blur and average in, or cancel each other out until it becomes a statistical mess. This Qdoba is located on the ground floor of the Sunset Place complex, facing street level on Sunset Drive (SW 72 St.) and a short walking distance from my office. It's a sandwich lunch place, nothing spectacular. I'll start off knocking a star because their Wi-Fi connection is a little quirky, and sometimes it is practically impossible to get a connection (or maintain a signal.) Although they usually have two cashiers during the lunch rush, the line usually takes about a five minute wait to place your order. Although today they ran out around 1:45PM, their soups are pretty decent. Try the chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl! I've usually had their chipotle chicken sandwich which pleasantly surprises you with a decent amount of seasoning. The black cherry smoothie is tasty, if a little pricy. The other star deduct occurs because this is the only place where I'm not impressed with their dessert. Seriously, the cherry and the apple danishes here just have the crust (which I'm not a fan of) and some fruit filling in the center. It's just a basic, grab a sandwich and have a quick lunch, not much beyond that..

This was my break destination while working for Charlotte Russe at Sunset Place. As a proud owner of their rewards card, I can swear by their exceptional customer service and comfortable atmosphere. 5 stars. P.S. I highly recommend the Cuban Chicken Panini and the Cherry Pastry!

Never been a big fan of this place but today we stopped in for a quick lunch. Daughter and I both ordered an Asiago Cheese bagel and some Mac n Cheese to share. My daughter proved me wrong. Yes these bagels were perfect. The cheese is cooked inside the bagel and not just on the top where it crumbles off. Fresh, soft, and oh so good. The Mac n Cheese, was good, a little heavy because it is in a cream white sauce not yellow. They are shell type pasta and again very good but also very heavy. The cashier was very friendly. Next time in the area will for sure come back in and take home some of these delish bagels. Oh the breads, desserts, pastry's were making my mouth water. I literally had to get out of their very quickly before I took some home. I did not look at what kind of soups they had today but I hear they offer some good varieties and are tasty....Next time...

Panera Bread (South Miami), you have always done me just right. As a recent law grad, I had VERY few places to escape to (that was not on campus) that was actually relatively quiet and had free wifi. But you were there for me. Plus, the food is good, inexpensive, and coffee refills? Yes please. So thanks for being uniquely accommodating for study head students and affordable in a location where affordability is unheard of. Keep doin yo thang

Every time I've been to panera bread...I've only tried the bagels..but this time my friend told me to try the tomato soup.......wow!...it was sooo tasty! I am totally hooked...oh and I also tried the greek salad...delish! definitely a great place to have a good, healthy meal at a decent price.

From Colorado to Florida, I have always loved Panera. Whether it's for breakfast or lunch, the quality of food here is always satisfying. Lots of times I just pop in to pick up some bagels (which I think are far better than neighboring Einstein's). There sandwiches, soups, and salads are very good, as well. I love their panini's and always go for the half-and-half but my order always varies depending on what kind of mood I'm in! I like this location and although I was not overly impressed with the service, I'll continue to frequent here when I need a good quick bite!

  • Marc M.

Oh, wow, Panera has done the impossible! Went today, ordered a "Signature Premium" chicken sandwich with some funny name like like Pasiego, panego, something like that. It was supposed to have chicken, cheese, onions, tomatoes... it was absolutely tasteless. Nothing had a taste. The chicken didn't have any taste, but neither did the tomatoes, the onion or the bread. Amazing! Nothing. I couldn't believe it.

DId you know that Panera Bread used to be called St. Louis Bread Company? And because I'm a Missouri native, I guess that's why it holds a soft spot in my tummy. Also, there's a location in Missouri that is on a "pay what you can" menu. Awesome! Anyway, the service here has always been friendly and because it's a chain, I value that a bit more. The tables are always clean and it's never too crowded. The food is what it is - nothing too exciting but always reliable. I'm not sure about this particular location, but I know Panera in general is very good about donating day old bread and pastries to charities/homeless.

I love Panera Bread and most of the ones that I have been to I experienced great customer service, but this one in particular left a bad impression. The employees here don't know what smiling is. The whole time I was waiting in line I saw that the cashiers looked miserable, and never smiled. On top of that they even had an attitude. Wow.. I didn't try the food but bought a mocha and it was overly sweet.. Too much chocolate. I asked another employee to remake it for me and she kindly did with a smile. Thank goodness someONE working there smiles..

This place is great as long as you are not getting a sandwich. Breakfast sandwiches are ok anything else I would skip and have a soup and salad instead. Let me tell you I am not a big eater, half a hamburger would fill me up. Panera however has to be the stingiest place when it comes on to pilling on the meats. You ask for a turkey sandwich for example your going to get ONE sliver of meat, ONE piece of lettuce, about half a cup a sauce all between two THICK pieces of bread. Yes I am aware about portion control and I am aware the US is the country with the highest population of overweight people. Adding more Turkey however will not kill anyone!

  • Cristina S.

I love Panera's mac n cheese. It's a problem, what with it's gazillion calories & all, but it's creamy, cheesy & delicious. The location on Sunset is an issue due to parking, but I'll still battle the metermaids to get mac n cheese. Their bakery is always hopping with something sweet & the soups & sandwiches are also delish. Do the mac n cheese w. the turkey bacon bravo you pick 2 for an awesome filling lunch! (warning: it also has a gazillion calories).

This place is great for breakfast and lunch. Plenty of bagels, breads, danishes, and coffees to choose from for breakfast and soup, salad, sandwich and pastries for lunch. Only down side is the street only metered parking.

  • Eve C.

Oh Panera, how I love you so. If only you would appear closer to my house, I'd love you even more. FYI, Panera is originally from St. Louis (my hometown), and was originally called St. Louis Bread Co., which it's still called in good ole STL. I was lucky enough to be on a work-related venture in South Miami today around lunch time, and got to pop in and grab my lunch from Panera. Parking can be tough around Sunset Place, but if you stick it out, you're bound to find a metered spot within a couple blocks walking distance. My fave thing at Panera is the orange scone - which, from the slick of orange glaze on top, can be off-putting. Hell, even I thought that at first. But then I tried it and realized it is pastry heaven. If you haven't tried one of these gems yet, do it! I'm also a big fan of the "You Pick 2" combo. I usually go for the soup/salad deal, but you can pick any combo you want from soups/salads/sandwiches. Just watch out - cause the "signature" sandwiches and salads can add up to a buck to your total. Today they had the summer corn chowder, which I'd never had before, and it was amazing. I also opted for the Fandango salad, which comes with mandarin oranges, gorgonzola, walnuts and a raspberry vinagrette - de-lish! Panera, I took you for granted when I lived in Missouri, and now I can only dream that I had the option of eating your tasty goodies every day!

I come here at least once a week, and they have always been fast and friendly, and have never gotten my order wrong. Great for vegetarians! I have the Panera Card which will randomly give me free pastries, teas, smoothies etc. This rewards program is very rewarding :)

I've had good and I've had bad at various Paneras across the country. I like the concept, but I still prefer neighborhood breakfast joints to chains like this any day. Not a coffee drinker and not a pastry person, so that limits me, but I do love me some bread. At this particular Panera, I've had sandwiches, and most recently, a bagel and cream cheese. The bagel was marginal, and their cream cheese comes in a little plastic package (talk about UG), and was, frankly, disgusting. It was the veggie variety, and I can't understand why they don't just make it fresh in large containers, and apply it to the bagel for the customers. Those plastic cups are SUCH a turn off, and who knows how long they've been sitting around. Gross. Won't make that mistake again. For sandwiches, however, I'd go back. They have some nice options, and at least their bread is always fresh!

sure this is a chain, but it's a good chain. the tomato soup is so good & so are their chicken paninis. panera is equivalent to au bon pain...actually it's better!

As a daily tea/chai drinker since my parents let me have anything resembling non-soda caffeinated drinks, I found myself surprised at how much I enjoy Panera's light roast coffee. Not bitter, not overly strong, not overly light, just a smooth, delicious cup of coffee. They actually changed the blend - for the worse - but I have warmed up to the new blend. Their breakfast menu is the highlight - great sandwiches, great souffles, great bagels, etc. Very fresh tasting ingredients and always prepared perfectly. Get here before 7:30am in the morning or the line gets long and they are bit understaffed. But, the service is very friendly and I do enjoy this Panera more than any other I have visited.

Doesn't get better than a jalapeño and cheese bagel in the morning with fresh juice. A wide assortment of baked goods I couldn't keep my eyes off of. Only negative is you have to put the cream cheese on yourself.

I love me some Panera. This location is legit in the middle of sunset. Store was clean, quick to order and all that. The only downside was that there was not a lot of outdoor seating because of the narrow office space they have. Other then that this location is ggggggreeeeattttt

  • Roger K.

I am a big fan of Panera, but the food I had here was not as fresh as other Panera's I have been to. The place looks like all the other Panera's and service was fast. Had my turkey sandwich been better, I would have given it 4 stars. Maybe next time.

    (3)

bagels are just round bread. Not the worst restaurant ever, and I go here when I want bland, generic food & free wifi.

    (1)
  • Justin P.

Sure, it's a chain. Sure, it's the type of place where you pick your food up at the counter. Sure, worst of all, it even tries to be healthy, but I can't help but like this place. It has good sandwiches, good soups and (according to my girlfriend) good salads too. There aren't too many places around where you can get a relatively inexpensive, good, tasty, quick bite to eat, so I will overlook the whole chain, touchy-feely, sandwich shop thing and award four stars.

    (4)
  • Chrystal C.

Don't get me wrong, the food is still awesome here, which is to be expected from Panera. The service at this location, however, is horrible. They almost always mess up your order, and the people who work there always act like you're inconveniencing them when you order something. When I asked for a side of pesto sauce with my sandwich yesterday, the girl making in sat there and carried on about it saying "doesn't she know they're already made?" She grumbled about my little container of extra pesto the whole time she was preparing my sandwich. And then, out of spite I imagine, she slopped an insane amout of extra pesto onto my sandwich, instead of putting on the side like I asked for it. But I can understand why she was upset. I mean, it's not like her job is to make sandwiches the way people like them or anything.

Panera makes your food extremely quickly !!! I recommend Panera to everyone :) it's a healthier fast food option ALSO MUST TRY THEIR SEASONAL FROZEN LEMONADE PERFECT FOR HOT MIAMI DAYS

Pretty much like any Panera location and I only had one item: a green drink with spinach, and some fruits in it. The drink was great, but there were prices of discarded plastic (the kind that wrap straws) in my drink. Only giving them 3 stars because I don't know if they did it or if it was the clumsiness of my friend who put the straw in the drink for me.

I have been coming to this Panera Bread for a while now and always thought that the service was pretty mediocre. But this particular day, I waited for 1 single flatbread for 20 minutes. The workers handed me a tray and I informed them that it was for "to go". The manager, Nutera (not sure if that is how you spell her name) was present as well. One of the workers packaged my flatbread and complained to this particular manager in front of me that the flatbread was burnt. The manager told her that she knew, and the woman packaged the flatbread and gave it to me. -_- Enough said. See picture below.

Fast service even though at times you can tell the employees are tired. They wipe out a smile, bang out your order, and off I go with a warm breakfast sandwich. yummm egg white, ham and spinach yum! If you get a bagel make sure they cut it beforehand, otherwise you're going to have a hell of a time. I learned my lesson, when I ordered over 30 of them... Lets just say we were trying to cut with plastic knives, and the bagels were winning. Pastries are delicious. I've tried them all. Yes, I have a sweet tooth, and just love to eat! Located in an awesome spot - grab some grub, get some shopping done. Marvelous.

Love Panera Bread. Obsessed with the Squash Soup and Squash Ravioli. Usually get the "pick two" and have the Fuji Apple Salad as well. (Ask for extra salad dressing) Staff is helpful and establishment is always clean.

This Panera Bread has quick service. Their best service is their online service which you can order beforehand and pick up the food at their pick up station. The location is clean and nearby many offices and boutiques. I like coming here for lunch break once in a while. I have never had an inconvenience except when it gets pretty full during lunch hour. I really recommend coming here. The food is always fresh and they make sure to serve you as fast as possible. This is the healthiest fast food option.

Just left panera at the sunset location. Calvin was so nice! Although it was early in the morning when I asked for recommendations he was sure to help me with descriptions and his opinion on what I should order. Definitely will be back! Thank you for making my morning great :)

First time to this Panera but won't be the last when in the area. Staff and the manager are super helpful and friendly. Love to see when managers actually are working on the floor and making sure everything runs smooth and that customers are happy. Our food was ready in less then ten mins, we ordered turkey sandwich and tomato basil soup witch was nice and hot, we also got a pastry for 99 cents witch is a deal. Overall great place with great customers service!

Now it is required that you park in the garage. The validation ticket didn't work and I barely had enough cash to get out of the garage. I called the restaurant to let them know that the validation wasn't working. The person who answered said "what do you want me to do about it?" I haven't been back since. Instead, I go to the new Panera on the Mile.

Desperately needed in the Sunset Place area: affordable, decent, quick lunch/breakfast spot. So what if it's a chain? Panera Bread offers all that AND a FREE wireless spot. That is really rare in South Florida (unlike San Francisco), businesses in Miami expect folks to pay for these things (*cough*T-mobile Hotspot*cough*). South Miami offers a ton of nice sit-down eateries but sometimes, all you want is a food court. Or a decent bagel. Or a hot breakfast sandwich that doesn't make you feel gross eating it. I heart their pumpkin muffins. And, yeah, did I mention free wifi?
